Introduction to Computers

Students start with the basics of computing, learning about different types of computers, their functions, and how they are used in daily life. This includes an introduction to operating systems like Windows and Linux, file management, and essential computer applications.

Computer Hardware & Maintenance

This section covers the fundamentals of computer hardware, including components like the CPU, RAM, hard drives, motherboards, and power supplies. Students will learn how to assemble and disassemble a computer, identify hardware issues, and perform basic troubleshooting and repairs.

Software Installation & Basic IT Skills

Students gain hands-on experience in installing and managing software, including operating systems, drivers, and commonly used applications. They also learn how to use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and cloud storage solutions for everyday tasks.

Networking & Internet Basics

This section introduces computer networking concepts, including Wi-Fi, LAN, modems, and routers. Students learn how to set up a basic home or office network, share files between computers, and understand internet safety and cybersecurity.

Peripheral Devices & Troubleshooting

Students get familiar with printers, scanners, USB devices, and external storage. They learn how to connect and troubleshoot these devices and perform routine computer maintenance to keep systems running efficiently.

Career Readiness & Practical Training

The course includes hands-on lab sessions and practical projects where students apply what they’ve learned. It also covers basic IT support skills, customer service, and career guidance to help students prepare for entry-level jobs in computer hardware repair, IT support, and networking.
